FP3 MotoGP United States Canceled Due to Bad Weather

FP3 MotoGP United States Canceled Due to Bad Weather – Free Practice III of the United States MotoGP was canceled. Bad weather marked by rain and lightning was the reason.

Indeed, the third free practice session will be held at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Austin, Saturday (13/4) starting at 22.00 WIB until 22.45 WIB. But it was delayed due to bad weather.

Then, Steward decided to postpone FP3 to 23.30 WIB but only held 20 minutes, not like 45 minutes as the original schedule.

But, heavy rains that flushed since morning made the track slippery and wet. Even though it didn’t rain as hard at the beginning, the lightning that continued to strike was considered dangerous.

As a result, the third free practice for all classes starting from MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 was canceled. Meanwhile the qualifying session which actually began Sunday (14/4) at 00:35 a.m. WIB in the Moto3 class will still be monitored, whether it will be held on time or not.

For Q1 MotoGP qualifiers, it will start at 02.10 WIB followed by Q2 session at 02:35. While the Moto2 qualification starts at 03.05 WIB. Thus quoted from the official MotoGP site.
